With a passion for motorsport, Israeli-born Ido Cohen made the move to Europe to chase his dreams of becoming a professional racing driver.

First taking to the wheel of a go-kart competitively at the age of 13, Ido has rapidly learnt his craft on an international stage, proving himself throughout Rotax Max Euro Challenge, Rotax Max Wintercup, WSK Super Master Series and WSK Champions Cup.

During 2019, Ido raced in Formula 4 ADAC, claiming a podium with racing giants Van Amersfoort Racing before making his debut in Euroformula Open at the end of the season.

Ido competed in Toyota Racing Series in 2020, finishing ninth overall in the standings prior to his return to Euroformula Open with Carlin, as he tackled some of the continent’s most prestigious racetracks. The Israeli claimed two podiums throughout the year – both at Spa-Francorchamps - as he finished seventh in the Drivers’ Championship.

In 2021, Ido will make the step up to the hotly contested FIA Formula 3 with Carlin Racing as he lines up against some of the best prospects in motorsport. The 19-year-old has three tests before the season opener in Barcelona where his skills will be put to the test.

“We’re delighted to have Ido join us at this exciting stage in his career. Making the step up to single-seaters in a tough challenge and Ido has adapted quickly across the season, he’s got lots of potential and we look forward to working with him alongside Prema to release his full potential.
