The younger brother of fellow ADD Management driver Nikhil, Akshay has enjoyed a glittering karting career to date.
Akshay immediately showcased his talent in 2018 by finishing third in ROK Cup International Final (Mini ROK). He soon followed this up a year later with another third-place in the IAME Asia Junior Final.
He then took the IAME Asia Junior Final title in 2020 before tasting success again in 2021, winning the German Junior Kart Championship (OK-J).
Akshay’s karting success was duly rewarded, making the step up to car racing in the Ginetta Junior Championship with R-Racing, while still racing in karts in the OK Senior class with Kart Republic in 2022.
2022 proved to be a fruitful year as he scored several top 10 finishes in the Ginetta Junior Championship, while his karting performances earned him a spot in Italian F4 for the final two races, making his single-seater debut.
Benefitting from the experience he’s accrued. Akshay will tackle Italian and European F4 in 2023 - two of motorsport’s most competitive junior categories.
As he prepares for those seasons to kick off, he will race in Formula 4 United Arab Emirates to gain more crucial single-seater experience ahead of a big year in Europe for the American.
