Akshay Bohra is one of America’s rising motorsport stars, and will continue his upwards trajectory in the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine in 2025 with R-Ace GP.

Following a glittering karting career, Akshay has risen up the ranks in single-seaters.

Akshay immediately showcased his talent in 2018 by finishing third in the ROK Cup International Final (Mini ROK). He soon followed this up a year later with another third-place in the IAME Asia Junior Final.

He then took the IAME Asia Junior Final title in 2020 before tasting success again in 2021, winning the German Junior Kart Championship (OK-J). Akshay’s karting success was duly rewarded, making the step up to car racing in the Ginetta Junior Championship with R-Racing, while still racing in karts in the OK Senior class with Kart Republic in 2022.

2022 proved to be a fruitful year as he scored several top 10 finishes in the Ginetta Junior Championship, while his karting performances earned him a spot in Italian F4 for the final two races, making his single-seater debut.

2023 was an action-packed year for Akshay. Competing in the competitive Italian F4 championship with US Racing, Akshay was incredibly consistent as he secured a top eight finish in the final standings, claiming two podiums in the process. Alongside his Italian F4 campaign, Akshay impressed in the Euro 4 Championship with victory in Barcelona and three further podiums to secure third in the championship.

A strong 2024 followed for Akshay, as he won the Euro 4 Championship. To go with this, he also secured a win, four pole positions and eight podiums in Italian F4 with US Racing to finish the championship fourth.

For 2025, Akshay makes the step up to the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine, joining forces with R-Ace GP.
