Lando Norris is one of F1’s true superstars with multiple podium finishes and a pole position to his name.

Lando rose to prominence in 2017 after becoming the youngest driver ever to win the FIA Formula 3 European Championship. With a total of nine victories, the Bristol-born racer finished 53 points ahead of his nearest competitor.

Lando ended his 2018 season with one of his most successful years to date, finishing as vice-champion in the highly competitive FIA Formula 2 series with a total of nine podiums, meanwhile continuing his duties as test and reserve driver for the McLaren F1 team.

In the same year, Lando also got his first taste of endurance racing, contesting the 24 Hours of Daytona with teammates Fernando Alonso and Philip Hanson, ultimately finishing in 13th. In September 2018, Lando signed for McLaren full-time for the following year, partnering Spanish driver Carlos Sainz.

After an impressive rookie season, Lando continued with the Woking-based team in 2020, scoring his maiden F1 podium in the opening race of the season at the Red Bull Ring. He finished the season ninth in the drivers’ standings with a total of 97 points.

Lando continued his upward trajectory in 2021 with four podium finishes, including a first podium around the iconic streets of Monte Carlo. Lando’s fine form saw him finish a career-best sixth in the drivers’ championship, which also included his maiden F1 pole position in Sochi.

Lando shined again in 2022 as he continued to maximise his machinery, becoming the only driver outside the top three teams to finish on the podium at the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix. Another near-perfect campaign from Lando earned him seventh in the drivers’ championship, comfortably clear of McLaren’s nearest competitors.

2023 proved to be Lando’s best year in F1 to date, scoring seven podium finishes - six of them were second-place finishes. A substantial upgrade introduced by McLaren for Round 9 proved to be a catalyst for his stunning second half of the season as he was only out-scored by dominant world champion Max Verstappen from Austria onwards.

Norris will remain with McLaren long-term, putting pen to paper to a multi-year contract which will keep him at Woking for the foreseeable future as he looks to challenge for the Formula 1 World Chmapionship.
