Sacha Fenestraz makes the move to Japan to contest Super GT with Kondo Racing for the 2019 season. A fresh challenge for the French-Argentine Driver, sees him take to the wheel of a Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3, to tackle the GT300 class alongside his teammate Kazuki Hiramine.

Having never raced in a GT car before, Super GT offers a fresh and exciting opportunity for Sacha to showcase his versatility as a driver.

Since graduating from a strong karting career at the age of 15, Sacha has taken the open-wheel arena by storm. Making his debut in the French F4 Championship, his talent has aided him to collect both the Rookie Championship and overall Vice-Championship honours in only his first year behind the wheel. No stranger to success, he went on to be crowned Formula Renault Champion in 2017, following a dominant campaign which saw him visit the podium 17 times, including 7 wins and 9 pole positions. With a competitive edge in FIA Formula 3 in 2018, Sacha punctuated his season with a podium at the Macau Grand Prix in November.

Super GT takes place across 8 rounds, across a series of challenging circuits in Japan and Thailand, including fan-favourites Suzuka and Fuji Speedway. With undeniable talent and a strong catalogue of results to his name, Sacha is well placed to make his mark on the Japanese series when action begins at the Okayama International Circuit on 13th-14th April.

Sacha comments: “I’m really looking forward to my first championship in a car with a roof. Equally I’m happy to be partnered with Kondo and I’m thankful for opportunity they have given me. There’s a lot to learn which is the biggest part for me, with a more powerful car, longer racing. But it’s gonna be a good year!"
Fraser Sheader, Director of ADD Motorsport adds: “This is an exciting new step in Sacha’s career, he has always shown great adaptability as a driver and has the results to prove it. Super GT is a highly-competitive championship, but I’m sure he will rise to the challenge.”
